Our History
In 2006 our family began a quest to learn about recycling. That was our first look at how we affect the planet. We began by reading and watching documentaries and moved to installing solar power on our home and office, hosting community clean-ups, and providing free education and school contests.
As our dream to positively impact the planet became larger, we started a company to help others conserve energy through CT HES and Home Performance with Energy Star programs. Our goal now is to educate youth and families on the positive health effects of using less energy and how their home works as a whole system. We partnered with insulation and solar vendors, and added window and HVAC (heating and cooling) vendors to our list of energy conservation and home improvement friends. As we gained knowledge we completed BPI training and were certified as BPI and HERS Analyst and BPI Envelope, multifamily BPI, and HPwES.
Our small family project now included other families who either worked for us or with us on our important cause. Having experience in education, workforce development and community relations experience, we quickly gained momentum for other projects such as creating books and videos and developing curriculum to encourage energy and water conservation. Most recently we created the Save Energy Save Dinero® program that pays money to schools that take an energy pledge, provides free educational books and a live in-person interactive seminars across our state. We have been truly blessed to find supporters everywhere, and are happy in our work. It is our mission to continue learning about energy conservation, to educate others to make wise energy choices, and to support the DOE and EPA in their efforts to make homes safer, humans healthier and to protect the planet.
