April 10 – Mass Save and the Green Eco Warriors brought the Save Energy Save Dinero Challenge to William N Deberry School this week in Springfield. Students and teachers were excited to watch the live performance by Leticia Colon de Mejias, author of the book, Dinero the Frog Learns to Save Energy. Mass Save has sponsored the program to engage students through exciting characters such as the Phantom Draw ™, a playful menace that steals energy when you forget to “switch it off” and Dinero a curious frog who learns about saving the planet and is passionate about teaching others about energy conservation. At the conclusion of the performance over 200 students pledged to be Green Eco Warriors and to sell CFL bulbs and power strips for their school fundraiser. 100% of the fundraiser proceeds go directly to the school.
